Golf

As everyone knows Scotland is the home of golf. There are over 50 golf courses within an hours drive of Auchterarder, Perthshire, including the three world famous courses at Gleneagles (venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup) which is only 2 miles away.
Walking

If walking is your chosen activity you will be spoilt for choice. Whether it be a casual stroll or bagging a Monroe, there is something for everyone visiting Perthshire and Scotland. We have beautiful walks in Auchterarder starting near our Bed and Breakfast.
Fishing

Scotlands salmon rivers are world famous – there is also a huge variety of trout fishing. The river Earn is close-by offering both salmon and trout fishing (permits required).
Drummond fishery and trout farm is just west of Comrie, Perthshire.
Motor Cycling

Scotland has some of the best biking roads in the world – the scenery is truly magnificent. Spend a few days at Lang Toon Bed and Breakfast taking your day rides around Perthshire and the fabulous Lochs.
Private off-road parking is available with washing facilities.
Cycling

Perthshire has some of the best cycle routes in the UK, with the added bonus of dramatic scenery and diverse wildlife. There are routes and trails to suite all abilities near Lang Toon Bed and Breakfast. Why not try the scenic Sustrans cycle route number 7 which runs along the quiet southern shore of Loch Tay.
Off-roaders are also well catered for with an extensive selection of forestry and other tracks many of which are close to the main A9.
Many visitors to Scotland want to sample the vast array of single malt whiskies available. Perthshire is fortunate to have many famous distilleries to chose from.
Whisky

Tullibardine distillery nestles at the foot of the Ochil Hills in Blackford which is about 3 miles away.
Dewars World of Whisky at Aberfeldy is well worth a visit and is only 30 minutes drive away.
Glenturret distillery – home of the “famous grouse” whisky – Scotlands oldest legal distillery has a tremendous visitor centre situated just outside Crieff and is only 20 minutes drive.
Edradour distillery near Pitlochry is Scotlands smallest distillery and traces its history back to 1825. This can reached in 45 minutes.
